The World Espresso Championship is coming to Athens

The World Espresso Championship is coming to Athens on Sunday June 25th, and we couldn't be more excited! 

Our knockout-style competition will feature world finalists of the Brewers and Barista titles, all vying for the grand prize of €4000! 

Competitors will have 15 minutes to dial in their espresso, followed by 6 minutes to prepare, extract, and present four single espressos: one espresso will be for the competitor to taste, while the remaining three will be presented to a panel of judges. At the end of the 6 minutes, the judges will simultaneously point to their preferred coffee, and the competitor with the most votes moves on to the next round. 

We'll be showcasing our Dalla Corte Zero espresso machine with the "Freestyle extraction" feature, which allows you to change the water flow rate during extraction to unlock different aromas and organoleptic properties in the cup. 

The venue is the "360 Cocktail bar", a trendy spot with an industrial-style interior and a rooftop garden serving signature cocktails and incredible coffee. 

Our media sponsor Perfect Daily Grind will be there and we'll also be supported by Puq Press BWT and local DC distributors Eurogat. For coffee, we'll be using Wisecup and coffee grinders by Mahlkönig.
