Taiwan’s Shih Yuan Hsu Wins the World Brewers Cup

While our collective Aussie hearts swelled with pride this year amid the results of the World Barista Championships, Taiwan’s coffee community was experiencing a similar thrill.

Shih Yuan Hsu (Sherry), of Taiwan, won the title of World Brewers Cup Champion during the 2022 Melbourne International Coffee Expo. 

Winning the title of national champion requires an incredible amount of dedication and skill, and to take that to the world stage requires an added level of bravery. To win the title of World Champion is a great accomplishment and we are eager to see what Shih Yuan Hsu does next in the world of coffee.

American Elika Liftee took second place and Singaporian Elysia Tan (who also took part in Dalla Corte’s World Espresso Championship with Code Black Coffee) won third.
