 With the Ntakata Mountains project, we're not just offsetting emissions; we're empowering communities to protect their forests and livelihoods.

Ntakata Mountains is a project by Carbon Tanzania in which we joined with PlaNet, our sustainability plan that offsets the emissions of our espresso machines making them "Carbon Neutral".

The communities have demarcated Village Forest Reserves accompanied by Village Land-Use plans that allow them to protect these forests while farming designated areas. The carbon revenue is a force for positive change, strengthening Village Forest Reserves and enforcing by-laws against illegal land clearance.
