IWCA's Stronger Together Brekky

Yesterday on the 28th of September, we had the immense pleasure of being a sponsor for the International Women’s Coffee Alliance’s (IWCA for short) Stronger Together Brekky at Axil Coffee Roasters in Melbourne CBD. 

The IWCA’s mission statement is to “empower women in the international coffee community to achieve meaningful and sustainable lives; and to encourage and recognize the participation of women in all aspects of the coffee industry.”

During the Stronger Together Brekky we were introduced to a panel of women from diverse backgrounds that had found their way into the coffee industry where they are thriving and striving to pave the way for more women to succeed in the world of coffee. 

The results of the labours of women such as these are already evident, with more female baristas than ever before - winning competitions, sitting in leadership positions, and owning their own businesses within the coffee sector.
