Fikabar, the Fika coffee concept in Belgium

'Fika' (in Swedish) doesn’t just mean ‘having a coffee break; it’s a moment to slow down and appreciate the good things in life. It is a state of mind, an attitude and an important part of Swedish culture.

Fikabar may not be in Sweden, but the Fika coffee and culture concept was successfully brought to Waregem, in Belgium – you can relax and enjoy your cup of espresso in this café’s laid-back atmosphere.

As an expert barista, Birgit chose Dalla Corte’s commercial espresso machine EVO2 to extract the direct fair trade coffee beans from Or Coffee that Fikabar serves. The house blend is used for all preparations, each month a different single-origin is available for espresso and filter coffee.
