Coffee lovers rejoice!
A recently published study in the Annals of Internal Medicine suggests that a daily dose of coffee could help prolong your life.
The Chinese Study observed the daily coffee habits of 171,616 participants in the UK over the course of seven years. It found that people who drank between 1.5 and 3.5 cups of coffee a day, “had lower risks for all-cause mortality after adjustment for lifestyle, sociodemographic, and clinical factors.”
Perhaps surprisingly, those who added a teaspoon of sugar to their coffee had a 30% lower death rate in the seven year period, compared to those who preferred unsweetened coffee, who had only a 16% - 21% lower death rate than those who did not drink coffee at all.
While we have always taken every opportunity to enjoy a cup of coffee, this news makes every sip even greater.
