Dalla Corte espresso receives the ISO 9001: 2015
Jan 27, 2022
Another
important milestone for Dalla Corte as they receive the ISO 9001: 2015 quality management
standard and keep on working to achieve an integrated system that will also
include safety and environmental management certifications.
Last year marked the twentieth anniversary of Dalla Corte, manufacturer of espresso machines and coffee grinders based in Milan, Italy. Looking back at their history, from 2001 to today they have come a long way, but the most important tract is always the one that still needs to be covered: for Dalla Corte quality isn’t just something material to associate with the products and services they provide, quality is a principle on which to constantly work on inside and outside the company to improve workflow and business relationships with customers.
Therefore, DC pursued the recognition - and practical application - of ISO 9001: 2015 by undertaking yet another path with TUV Rheinland, the independent certification body that had already followed them in the energy saving attestation of their espresso machines.
WHY ISO 9001:2015?
Used by millions of organizations around the globe, the world-standard reference for quality, ISO 9001, helps ensure that customers get good-quality products and services by setting out the criteria for consistent, measurable, and monitored results.
"Our conformity to the ISO 9001: 2015 standard is an organization-wide commitment to quality," explains Raul Vanzulli, Quality Manager, " our certification includes all of the company processes, from the production warehouse, to marketing activities, and to managing customer feedback. It allows us to assess our customers’ satisfaction in terms of the product in itself, and also of the technical support we provide them with." In fact, Dalla Corte has certified the brand not only for the production of espresso machines and coffee grinders, but also for their installation, support, and maintenance.
When interacting with customers, every aspect provides an opportunity to create more value for the final consumer. In order to create and provide quality, Dalla Corte has engaged people at all levels throughout the organization to plan, design, develop, produce, deliver and support goods and services to meet customers’ current and future needs and expectations.
"Although this is not a requirement," continues Raul Vanzulli, "it’s something more that qualifies us, a way to show how we also put quality into external processes, such as our technical assistance."
THE NEXT STEP
The ISO 9001: 2015 standard isn’t only about adding another piece to the list of DC certifications - confirming the desire of maintaining a high level of quality management – it has also led to a new and improved way of working.
"The next steps of the roadmap are the ISO 14001 environmental management system and the ISO 45001 safety management system," adds Raul "all three certifications together would make Dalla Corte an integrated system. This is the next goal for DC. "
